What happens on handover day
Buying a computer from a small company can feel like a leap. Here is exactly what happens, from agreeing a date to the day we hand it over.
Before the day
- We agree a date in writing. Build times depend on when parts arrive, so the date is an estimate, and we tell you promptly if it moves. If we are more than 30 days late, you may cancel for a full refund.
- You choose a spot. A hard, flat surface with at least 10 cm of clear space around the vents, near the office router. Plug it into a wall outlet or a surge-protected power board.
- You tell us who needs a login, and which groups of documents each person should see.
- The balance is paid before handover, and we give you a tax invoice.
On the day
- We set it up in place. It plugs into your router with a network cable, and we give it a fixed address so everyone can bookmark one link.
- We check it with you. We have already tested it with several people asking questions at once. We check that it works on your network too.
- We load your documents, if you asked us to, and create a login for each person.
- We walk your team through it. How to ask a question, how to check which document an answer came from, and how to spot a wrong answer.
- We go through a checklist together and you sign a handover note. Please check the computer with us that day.
After the day
- It is yours once you have paid in full. Your documents stay on it, and we keep no copies after set-up unless you ask us to in writing.
- You keep your own backups of your documents and settings.
- If something is wrong, email us. See support and contact.
- Ongoing support is not included unless we agree it in writing. If you would like it, ask, and we will quote it separately.
What we do not promise
An AI assistant can get things wrong, so check anything important. It is not legal, financial or medical advice. The full wording is in our terms and conditions, and your quote lists exactly what you are buying.
