How it works
Tell us about your office
How many people, what kinds of documents, and whether you want web search.
See a demo
We show the assistant answering questions about sample documents so you can judge it.
We build to your quote
You approve the quote and pay the prepayment. We order the parts, build and test it.
Handover
We set it up in your office, add your team and walk you through it. You sign a handover note.
The technical bit
Here is what is actually happening when someone on your team asks a question. Everything in the green box lives on one computer in your office.
On your network
The box plugs into your router with a network cable. Wi-Fi works, but a cable is faster and steadier. We set a fixed address for it on your router so everyone can bookmark one link.
In the browser
Staff open that link on any computer or phone on the office network and sign in. Nothing to install. Admins choose who can see which sets of documents.
On the box
AnythingLLM is the web app. Ollama runs the AI model on the graphics card. Your files are split into small pieces and indexed on the box, so a question finds the right passages first and the model only reads those.
What is reachable
Only the web page is opened up to your office network. The AI engine itself is not, and we do not forward anything from the internet, so as we set it up the box cannot be reached from outside your office.
Web search
Off by default. If you turn it on, the words of the search go to a search provider. That can include what you typed in the question, so keep confidential details out of it. Your documents are never sent. Search results and the AI's summary of them can be wrong, so check anything important.
Limits
The box has to be switched on. It works on the office network only, so working from home would need a secure remote connection (a VPN).
