Private AI for law firms in Sydney
Law firms hold some of the most confidential documents there are. A local AI that runs on a computer in your office lets your team ask questions of those files without sending them to a cloud AI service.
What lawyers and staff use it for
- Finding a clause across a set of contracts, and seeing which document it came from.
- Summarising a long document or a bundle of correspondence in a few bullet points.
- Looking things up in your firm's own precedents, templates and office policies.
- Drafting a first version of a client email or file note from your own documents, for a lawyer to review.
Why keeping it in the office matters
Your documents and your team's questions stay on a computer in your office. The one exception is web search, which is off unless you switch it on, and then only the words being searched go out, never your documents.
- Every person has their own login.
- You can keep separate document sets for each practice area or matter team, so people only see what they should.
- Administrators can review chat history, so it is fair to tell your staff.
What it will not do
It is not legal advice, and it does not replace a lawyer's judgement. Like any AI tool it can get things wrong, miss a clause or misread a document, so check important answers against the source. Each answer shows which documents it used, which makes that check quicker.
Before you use any AI tool on client matters, check what your professional body and your insurer expect. Keeping files in the office is a good start, but it does not by itself meet your professional obligations.
Sized for a small firm
We size each build to the number of people who will use it at once and test it with several people asking questions together before handover. See our builds for the options. We are based in Sydney and set up on the North Shore and in the CBD.
